Tour Stage 6: Pegging the Break Away

Giant Shimano had been conspicuous in their absence from the front of the peloton in every sprinter's stage of the Tour thus far.  Today they broke with that strategy and were the team that rode tempo, keeping the break away well within reach.  Giant Shimano had been having a glorious Tour de France with their fast German, Marcel Kittel.  The famous hair style sporting fast man has already claimed three stage victories and from his team's presence on the front, is certainly planning to make it four.  If he gets the win today, he would tie is record for the entire 2013 Tour, and we are only on the sixth stage of this edition of the Grand Boucle.  This is an original small watercolor and ink painting that was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com  This painting is available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com  and  will be included in the soon to be self published, "Book de Tour".  To learn more about the book project, to pre-order your copy, or to become involved in bringing the art of the 101st Tour de France to print, please visit https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1335072134/book-de-tour  If you would like to purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.
